New Interim Executive Director Appointment
Date of Release: September 15, 2022 St Albert, Alberta

The Stop Abuse in Families (SAiF) Society Board of Directors would like to take this opportunity to formally announce that Mark Dixon will be taking on the role of Executive Director (Interim). Mark will be officially starting on September 19th, 2022 to work alongside our staff to ensure an effective transition as our current Executive Director, Areni Kelleppan, moves on to her next opportunity.
Mark is a 17-year resident of St. Albert and lives here with his partner Ady and two daughters. He maintains an enviable set of skills through his work in marketing, public affairs and team management. Mark has post-secondary training in marketing, communications, research, strategic thinking, and team building. Having served 7 years as a Rotarian, and time as Rotary Club of St. Albert President, Mark has been involved in countless community projects including the current St. Albert Youth Mental Health Hub. Mark has demonstrated a proven track record of leveraging social capital to complete projects that improve our community.
The Board believes that Mark’s enthusiasm, creativity, professionalism, and passion for exceeding expectations will serve SAiF and its stakeholders well. We look forward to working with Mark as he helps SAiF maintain the momentum of our Society by continuing to provide essential family violence prevention programming to our community.
